About Happy Creature:

The Happy Creature Blog is a place where I share my love of crochet, hat making, and the outdoors. Each week I will post new hats created from my original stitch and pattern, and show you exactly the colors used so you can make it yourself.  All my hats are made using Red Heart Yarn which is super easy to find at most craft stores. My pattern is written with step by step photos and instructions so even if you have never made a beanie or can’t really read a pattern yet, you will be able to follow right along!

So go ahead and grab the pattern and stop back by often for more ideas and color combos to make hats you and your friends are going to love to wear! You can even sign up here and I will send you a quick monthly reminder to come check out the new hats.

Maybe you will make one for you, or maybe you will make one for everyone you know!   Maybe you will be a ski bum and make a living selling your hats. Whatever the case, I hope I can provide some inspiration to you and I am so happy  you stopped by!

About Veachel:

mountains of beanies

Hello! I am Veachel, the girl behind Happy Creature. I have been crocheting for 20 years now, and snowboarding almost as long! I am a Michigan girl who was lucky enough to spend 8 years living in the Colorado Rocky Mountains snowboarding, exploring,  and making and selling beanies.  I fell in love at Copper Mountain and we now have 3 young kids and are living on a small farm in Michigan where we hope to raise a few sheep!  My hats can still be found in mountain town shops and online at my new Etsy shop!
